Este é um simulador para treinar there is e there are falando, em voz alta. Você é o diretor de um resort em Porto de Galinhas, e a Brenda, organizadora de eventos de uma empresa de Chicago, quer trazer trezentos vendedores para a convenção anual. Ela pergunta o que tem e o que não tem no hotel: quantos quartos, se tem academia, se tem heliponto, quantas piscinas. Um cartão na tela mostra o fato ("2 swimming pools") e você responde com a frase inteira: "There are two swimming pools in the hotel." Responda só o número e ela corrige o seu inglês. Minta para fechar o negócio e ela confere. No fim, peça o contrato: sai com o evento fechado ou com um cartão-postal de Cancún.
Como funciona o simulador
- Toque em Começar e cumprimente a Brenda. Depois do 3, 2, 1, o microfone fica ligado: é só falar.
- Responda com a frase inteira.A cada pergunta, um cartão mostra o fato do hotel (“2 swimming pools”, “no gym”) e você diz: “There are two swimming pools in the hotel.” Responda só o número e ela corrige o seu inglês.
- Não minta e não traduza o “tem”.Prometer o que o hotel não tem e dizer “has a gym” contam contra. Três respostas ruins e ela vai embora.
- Peça o contrato. Quando ela disser que vai pensar, peça o fechamento. Se você só se despedir, perde na hora.
- Reveja as respostas. No fim, cada pergunta aparece com o que você disse e a resposta-modelo.

Pode: "We have two pools" está certo, porque tem um dono (we). O erro é o "has" sem dono, tradução do nosso "tem": "Has two pools". No jogo, "We have" vale e "Has" perde ponto.
