O superlativo aponta o extremo de um grupo: the strictest (o mais rígido), the most loving (o mais amoroso), the least attention (a menor atenção). Adjetivo curto leva -est; adjetivo longo leva the most; e para o outro extremo existe the least. Aqui você lê sobre os quatro estilos de criar filhos no seu nível (1, 2 ou 3), ouve a narração palavra por palavra e toca em qualquer palavra para ver a tradução.
Poucos assuntos rendem tanto superlativo quanto criar filhos: os pais mais amorosos, os mais rígidos, os que dão menos atenção. É exatamente por isso que a psicologia dos estilos parentais é um dos melhores textos para treinar o superlativo em inglês — ele aparece em quase toda frase, e sempre com sentido. Escolha o nível abaixo: os quatro estilos são os mesmos; o que muda é o inglês.

Como formar o superlativo em inglês
O superlativo diz que algo é o máximo (ou o mínimo) dentro de um grupo. Em português: "o mais rígido", "o menos atencioso", "o melhor". Em inglês, a regra depende do tamanho do adjetivo — e quase sempre entra o the.

The most × the least: os dois extremos
Esta é a parte que quase ninguém treina. The most aponta o topo; the least aponta o fundo — sem precisar de um adjetivo negativo. No texto: the most responsive (o mais atencioso) e the least involved (o menos presente). Com substantivo, o par é the most / the least (incontável) e the most / the fewest (contável): the least warmth, mas the fewest rules.
- Superlativo duplo: ❌ the most strictest → ✅ the strictest
- Esquecer o "the": ❌ He is strictest father → ✅ He is the strictest father
- -est em adjetivo longo: ❌ the responsivest → ✅ the most responsive
- Irregular: ❌ the goodest / the baddest → ✅ the best / the worst
- Contável × incontável: ❌ the least rules → ✅ the fewest rules (regras se contam)
- Confundir com comparativo: dois filhos → the stricter of the two; três ou mais → the strictest of all
