As exceções que mais caem: good → well, e fast, hard, late, early não mudam. E depois de be, look, feel, sound, taste, smell vem adjetivo, não advérbio: The soup tastes good, nunca “tastes well”.
Atividades
Descreve a ação: advérbio. Descreve a coisa ou a pessoa: adjetivo.
2 · Whack-a-Hardly: good ou well
As mesmas frases, agora com relógio. Bata nas certas e deixe as erradas descerem: a isca é o adjetivo descrevendo a ação (she drives careful) ou o advérbio onde cabe adjetivo (the soup tastes well). O jogo abre no baralho good ou well; os outros treinam a posição na frase.
Como formar advérbios em inglês
- Regra geral, adjetivo + -ly: slow → slowly, careful → carefully, quiet → quietly, clear → clearly.
- Terminado em -y: o y vira i. happy → happily, easy → easily, lucky → luckily.
- Terminado em -ic: + ally. basic → basically, dramatic → dramatically.
- Irregular: good → well. É o único que muda de palavra.
- Iguais ao adjetivo: fast, hard, late, early, daily, straight. She runs fast (fastly não existe).
Use in a friendly way: She smiled in a friendly way.
